Tax Agent Consent & Pre-Engagement
Authority to Apply for an Australian Business Number (ABN) for Your Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF)
By signing this form, you provide your consent for East Coast Incorporations to nominate Shape Super (registered tax agent number 26314211) as the registered SMSF tax agent for the sole purpose of applying for an Australian Business Number (ABN) for your Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF), with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Scope of Engagement
You authorise East Coast Incorporations to:
- Collect the required details to complete the ABN application for your SMSF.
- Nominate Shape Super as the required tax agent for the ABN application for your SMSF.
- Submit the ABN application to the Australian Business Register (ABR) on your behalf.
You authorise Shape Super to:
- Receive correspondence related to the application and communicate with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) if necessary.
- Update the ABN record with your SMSF bank account details once provided by East Coast Incorporations
This authority is limited to the ABN registration process only and does not constitute a broader engagement for tax, accounting, or compliance services, however you will have the option to engage Shape Super for these services.
Client Responsibilities
You confirm that:
- The information provided to us for the ABN application is true and correct.
- You are authorised to act on behalf of the SMSF as a trustee or director of the corporate trustee.
- You understand the ATO’s eligibility requirements for SMSFs and acknowledge that you are responsible for meeting all ongoing compliance obligations.
